SERRA DA ESTRELA: VISUAL METAMORPHOSIS
At the intersection of time and light, this visual narrative was born under heavy skies in the Serra da Estrela. What could have been just another rainy day turned out to be a canvas in constant transformation, where every moment became an invitation to contemplation and creation.
Far from what we had planned, we plunged into a scenery where the fog danced between ancient rock formations. At Senhora do Ó, where devotion merges with stone, the murmur of the streams provided the perfect soundtrack for this ballet of light and shadow that was unfolding in front of my lens.
As the day progressed, the sky transformed its palette - from deep gray to vibrant blue, punctuated by dramatic clouds that seemed to have been summoned especially for this moment. Each photograph captured by the Fuji GFX 100 II is not just an image, but a testimony to this dance between photographer and nature, between technique and sensitivity.
This visual diary, which culminates in the mystical landscapes of the historic town of Monsanto, is a reflection on time and its meaning. At the age of 50, each composition goes beyond simply recording what is visible, becoming a meditation on the depth and richness that maturity brings to the artistic eye.
To Tereza, a silent witness to this obsession with light and image, who turns every adventure into a journey of complicity.
In Monsanto, where ancient rocks embrace centuries-old houses, the light of dusk reveals a village that defies time - creating a unique setting where light dances between history and the present.
